I spent Wednesday evening and most of Thursday at Kent State. I participated in the vigil by standing for 1/2 hour in the spot where Sandy Scheuer was killed. It was an emotional experience. Standing there and looking to where the guardsmen were when they shot her, I wondered how in the world could this young woman have been a threat to armed men so far away.
